A brand is only as strong as its weakest touchpoint, and for Sterling Training for Defence and Security, that weak point was their presentation folder. Functional, yes. Memorable, no. When you’re presenting defence capability development and specialist training services to military institutions and defence organisations, first impressions carry weight, and the old A4 folder simply wasn’t pulling that weight.
Dunstar Creative was brought in to put that right.
The Brief
Sterling Training needed a print solution that did more than hold paperwork together. It needed to actively support the brand, reflect the calibre of their training programmes, and create a genuine moment of impact the second a client opened it. The standard approach wasn’t going to cut it. This needed to feel considered from the outside in.
The Creative Approach
The result is a custom 5mm capacity presentation folder, built to a far higher specification than the previous format. A stitched-in inner folded brochure and a dedicated business card pocket give the piece real structure and flow, allowing content to be presented with intention rather than just slotted in loose.
Every detail was designed to work together: the silver-foiled outer cover with the Sterling logo sets a clean, premium tone, while the interior opens to reveal the full Defence Capability Development and Specialist Training messaging, supported by striking imagery and a clear, confident layout. The branded colour palette, sharp typography, and structured information panels carry through consistently across every page of the brochure insert.
The Result
This is print working as a genuine brand experience rather than just a practical necessity. Clean, professional, and confident, the new folder gives Sterling Training a presentation tool that matches the quality of the training services it represents, and sets the tone before a single page is even read.
More than just print. A brand experience in hand.
